Anisha Ready for UCLan University Experience After Blackburn College Success
Anisha’s piece of work created for her Final Major project while in lockdown.
Blackburn College student Anisha Akhtar will study Fashion Design at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston from September.
Blackburn’s Anisha has been offered a place at UCLan after she finishes her Textiles, Fashion and Design (UAL) Level 3 Extended Diploma at the College.
Anisha, 18, said: “Originally, I had chosen to attend a college that offered A-Level Textiles, but I realised that this offered little progression for me and I didn’t have the opportunity to experiment with textiles thoroughly.
“I then decided to enrol at Blackburn College to study the Level 3 Textiles, Fashion and Design Extended Diploma, through which I have been offered amazing support and guidance.
“The range of facilities have helped me develop my creative skills whilst the constant feedback from the teachers has helped me improve over the past two years.
“Overall, the course has been a beneficial experience and I have no doubt it has prepared me for university.”
