Night Class Success Leads to Photography Degree for Determined Rachel

Adult student Rachel Milbourn will study Blackburn University Centre’s Photography Degree after success in Blackburn College’s Photography Night Classes.

Rachel, 31, will study the Lancaster University-approved BA (Hons) Photography and Moving Image Degree after completing the College’s Certificate in Photography Level 2 (UAL) and Level 3 evening classes.

Despite being a single mum and losing her job due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she has remained determined to not only pass her course, but to also progress on to University.

Rachel, who lives in Blackburn, said: “I am so happy to be moving on to Blackburn University Centre to study my Photography Degree.

“Completing both my Level 2 and Level 3 Certificates has been great, but seeing all the hard work pay-off is even better. I can’t wait to get started!”
