Blackburn College’s Digital Art and Design Show to Launch 11th June
Blackburn College’s annual end of year Art and Design Show will once again be launched and exhibited digitally from Friday 11th June 2021.
The Art and Design Show is set to remain as an online experience after moving to this format last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The exhibition displays the very best student work from Blackburn College and Blackburn University Centre.
Although all work will be exhibited online, there will also be a smaller public exhibition in The Mall in Blackburn town centre from Saturday 12th to Monday 28th June 2021.
Jonathan Bond, Head of School (Creative and Digital) at Blackburn College, said: “This is a great opportunity for our learners to demonstrate their fantastic work throughout a challenging period. The quality of work is testament to the commitment and professionalism of the delivery team and showcases our courses that prepare learners for a range of exciting careers in Creative and Digital industries.”
Jenna Gardner, Assistant Head of School Creative, Digital and Community at Blackburn University Centre, said: “This year has certainly been challenging for our degree students - many have had to adapt their practice and make significant changes to the way in which they work. We are incredibly proud of the way they have all risen to the challenge and produced amazing work despite these circumstances.”
