The college provides a chaplaincy service lead by Imam Saleem Seedat. Along with leading and organising the Jumu’ah or Friday prayers on campus, Imam Saleem provides pastoral care, offering students a listening ear regardless of their faith or belief. Also, we work closely with the Blackburn with Darwen Interfaith Forum which represents the six major world religions and refer students of different faiths to their respective leaders for support and guidance.
Blackburn College provides multi-faith facilities at three locations around the campus. The main centre is known as the ‘Peace Place’ and is designed to support individual prayer and meditation along with collective activities which are aligned with its spiritual ethos.
The multi-faith rooms are a place for spiritual thought and contemplation for all students, staff and visitors at Blackburn College. No matter what faith, religion or belief, the ‘Peace Place’ at Blackburn College welcomes
