Achieved: Triple Distinction Star in Vocational Science and A* in A-Level Maths

“I first dropped out at a different college as it wasn’t the experience for me but Blackburn College enabled me to study on the BTEC course that I really wanted to study.

“The best part of my course for me was my tutors teaching style. The teachers allowed me to work independently on my own but they were also there to provide me with new knowledge that I didn’t know before to help me progress through my course. Their style also helped me to pick things up easily.

“I really enjoyed the course, I had to work hard but I had support from my tutors. It was also hard doing an A-Level and BTEC at the same time and studying in lockdown made me lose my motivation. I had to work extra hard when we returned after lockdown to get the grades that I wanted.

“In September, I am going to Middlesex University to study Midwifery and eventually become a Midwife. I’m really excited to begin.”
