BA (Hons) Education Studies
- Studied: BA (Hons) Education Studies
The tutors are very open, approachable and willing to help with any issues at any time.
I chose to do my course at the University Centre Blackburn College because, being from Blackburn, it is local and convenient. I also have three children who are aged nine, seven and five – all three of them are Blackburn Children’s University students at Wensley Fold Primary Academy.
The thing I have enjoyed most about my course is the people in the group and how the students all support each other. I feel very comfortable studying at the University Centre and I can relate to the course content. I would really like my children to study here in the future too!
In terms of preparing for a career, the course has provided me with lots of new knowledge and a range of skills, but, most importantly, it has built my confidence. The tutors are very open, approachable and willing to help with any issues at any time.
I am now planning to become a teacher. Originally, I didn’t want to teach, but this aspiration has developed over the year. When reading through case studies I decided that I could see myself as a teacher.
Blackburn Children’s University encouraged me to attend the University Centre after visiting and seeing my niece’s photo and her case study on display.
