• Studied: BSc (Hons) Construction (Building Surveying)
  • Working as a Building Surveyor and studying MSc Building Surveying at the University College of Estates Management (UCEM)
"I have enjoyed absolutely everything about my course, but I have especially enjoyed the variety of modules and the industry relevant content."

Michelle studied the Lancaster University awarded BSc (Hons) Construction (Building Surveying) course and achieved a First Class Honours. Congratulations and good luck, Michelle!

Michelle said: “I chose to study at Blackburn University Centre because of the volume of mature students and the classroom-style learning rather than large lecture theatre-style teaching offered at other Universities, which I much preferred. This meant that I had more opportunities to have direct support from the tutors.

“The campus was also in close proximity to my home in Chorley and I had previously studied my Construction and the Built Environment HNC at the University Centre.

“I have enjoyed absolutely everything about my course, but I have especially enjoyed the variety of modules and the industry relevant content.”

She added: “My tutors have supported me to achieve my goals by being on hand to give advice and support with both course related content and job applications.

“I am currently working as a Building Surveyor and I’ve also started my Masters Qualification. I’m studying MSc Building Surveying at the University College of Estates Management (UCEM) and looking to do my Chartership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

“If anyone is looking to make changes to their future career I would highly recommend studying at Blackburn University Centre. It is absolutely fantastic!”
