Enterprise and Employability skills are key to our students’ future success. At Blackburn College we work closely with employers to ensure that our training reflects the latest industry standards and meets business needs.
Both students and businesses benefit from the many placements that we arrange. Our placements offer students the chance to gain valuable experience spending time working for an employer and carrying out duties or tasks as any other employee of your company would. Students work on your premises to complete work tasks that support your business.
Research
If there is a strategic need within your organisation that cannot be addressed by your own staff, we can support you through a number of sources including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), which can provide the necessary funded support to put a graduate and supervising mentor in place. Employer panels and guest speakers
Our employer panels keep us informed of sector updates and provide valuable contributions to develop our curriculum. We also welcome industry specialist guest speakers who are able to share their knowledge and experience. Please contact us to find out how your business can be involved.

Tenders, Compliance and Procurement
As a Public Sector body, you may be required to work with suppliers that have been approved for the delivery of services and/or products.
As such we have listed the Approved Framework Agreements and
Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPS) we have current procurement approval with, these are for following areas: Apprenticeships,
Professional Qualifications or other bespoke training requirements.
